Philip Baker Hall, Star of the ‘Modern Family’ and ‘Boogie Nights,’ Dies at 90

Actor Philip Baker Hall died at the age of 90.

Hall’s wife of about 40, Holly Wolfle Hall, confirmed the news in the Associated Press.

Hall had a warm atmosphere in his last days and passed away on Sunday in Glendale, California, surrounded by loved ones, according to his wife.

“His voice was finally equally powerful,” he said.

The star’s friend and neighbor Sam Farmer also announced the news on Monday.

“My neighbor, my friend, and one of the smartest, most talented and kind people I have ever met, Philip Baker Hall, passed away peacefully last night. He was surrounded by loved ones. The world is empty, ”says the Los Angeles Times sports correspondent online.

The cause of death was not immediately available.

Hall, whose Hollywood career spans more than 50 years, has received 185 credits for films and TV, according to the report. IMDb.

He is best known for his work in “Boogie Nights” (1997) and “Magnolia” (1999).

Her last film was 2017 “The Last Word,” starring Amanda Seyfried.

In 2020, Hall starred in the Netflix TV series “The Messiah,” following a CIA official who investigated a man whose followers believed he could perform miracles.

Many Hollywood celebrities have honored Hall on social media, including “Better Call Saul” actor Michael McKean.

“It has never been better. RIP, Philip Baker Hall, ”the actor tweeted.

The veteran actor is survived by his wife, brother, four daughters and four grandchildren.
