Since Russian President Vladimir Putin’s forces invaded Ukraine in February, the Russian military has lost more than 50,000 soldiers, 4,500 armored fighting vehicles and 2,000 tanks, according to a defense ministry statement on Twitter.

The post is part of Ukraine’s broader effort to engage with popular culture to strengthen its cause.
That includes answers about casualties. On Tuesday, the defense department posted a similar review with the line “I see dead people” in the movie “The Sixth Sense.”
In the past, the service has quoted songs by Queen, Bananarama and The game, as well as references to movies such as Rambo, The Big Lebowski, Pulp Fiction and celebrities such as Mike Tyson, in accordance with NME.com.
